Updating your personal information

Keeping your contact information current ensures you receive statements, tax documents, payment reminders, and important updates about your mortgage.

You can update most information directly through your dashboard or by contacting your loan servicer.


1. How to update your mailing address

You can update your mailing address by:

  • Logging into your Nestwise dashboard (if your loan is serviced directly by Nestwise), or

  • Updating your address through your servicer’s online portal (if your loan has been transferred)

You may be asked to verify:

  • Your identity

  • Your property address

  • Your loan number

Mailing address changes typically take effect immediately.


2. How to update your phone number or email address

Your email and phone number can be updated in the account settings section of your dashboard.

This ensures you continue receiving:

  • Payment reminders

  • Closing documents

  • Escrow notices

  • Important loan updates

If your loan has been transferred, your servicer may require you to update this information directly in their system as well.


3. How to update your name

If you’ve had a legal name change, you may need to provide documentation before your loan can be updated.

Your servicer or Nestwise may request:

  • A marriage certificate

  • Court order

  • Divorce decree

  • Updated government-issued ID

Once submitted, your name will be updated across your loan documents and statements.


4. How to update your banking information (for auto-pay)

If you need to change the account used for auto-pay:

  • Go to the payment section of your dashboard or servicer portal

  • Remove or edit your existing payment method

  • Add your new bank information

  • Confirm your next scheduled draft date

Updating your banking information does not change your contact information—those must be updated separately.


5. When your loan is serviced by a partner

If your loan has been transferred to a servicing partner:

  • You will receive a welcome letter

  • All updates must be made directly through the servicer’s portal

  • Nestwise can help point you to the correct place if you are unsure

Your loan terms and payment amount do not change when a loan is transferred.

  • Your dashboard isn’t showing updated information
